Home Inspection FAQ’s

What is a Home Inspection?

A professional inspection is a competent and thorough evaluation of the condition of the structure, systems, and components of a home. Materials used, construction quality and maintenance are some of the considerations of the inspection.

Do I need a Home Inspector?

Your purchase of a home is a large investment. Once you have chosen a house you like, evaluate it carefully. You have the right to know any information affecting the value and desirability of the property. One thing all home buyers have in common is a desire to know as much as possible about their prospective home.

After the purchase agreement has been accepted, we can typically schedule a time within several days of your call. We are available six days a week, allowing you to book the inspection, have it conducted, and the report delivered well within your time limit.

What will I receive?

A trained inspector will be at your prospective home for 2-3 hours and you are invited and encouraged to follow the inspector. By attending the inspection and asking questions the home buyer will have a clearer understanding of the property and be able to make a more confident purchase decision.

What Happens After my Inspection?

At the conclusion of the inspection you will receive a narrative report in a user friendly format (see a sample report at the left) that will provide information regarding: the condition of components from the roof to the basement.
